Why Marrowdale
The difference between advice that looks good and advice that sticks.
Advisory work is only worth doing if it leaves your team in a better position after. Here is how Marrowdale approaches that.

What working with Marrowdale gives you
Six things that shape every engagement we run, and what they mean for your team in practice.
Specialist expertise
Knowledge management is what we do — not a module in a broader change programme or a side service attached to something else. The team you work with has thought carefully about these problems.
A clear, staged process
Each engagement follows a structure that is transparent from the start. You know what will happen in each session, what you will receive in writing, and what the scope of the work is.
Works with existing tools
We do not require you to adopt a new platform. Our advisory is grounded in helping teams use what they already have more effectively — which most teams find far easier to sustain.
Thoughtful client service
Engagements are not managed at arm's length. The adviser you meet at the start is the person doing the work. Sessions are prepared, followed up in writing, and adapted as circumstances develop.
Practical, usable outputs
Every engagement ends with written deliverables — summaries, templates, standards, or playbooks — that your team can use without needing Marrowdale in the room to operate them.
Transparent, fixed pricing
Each service has a clear price set before work begins. There are no scope creep conversations mid-engagement and no variable billing based on hours tracked. You know what you are committing to.
Expertise
Depth in one area, not spread thinly across many
Marrowdale's focus is narrow by design. We work exclusively on knowledge management and the organisational practices around it. That focus means the advice you receive is grounded in direct experience with the specific problems your team is likely facing — not adapted from a general change management playbook.
- Practitioners who have worked on knowledge problems across multiple Malaysian organisations
- Advisory grounded in information architecture and organisational learning practice
- Context-aware suggestions that account for the realities of Malaysian working environments
"Organisations that manage their knowledge well tend not to do so by accident. They have made a deliberate choice about how they want knowledge to flow — and then built habits around that choice."
— Marrowdale advisory principle
Initial conversation to understand the team's current situation and what they want to change
Structured advisory sessions with preparation, agenda, and written follow-up
Tangible deliverables — templates, summaries, standards, or playbooks — at each stage
Closing review to confirm the outputs are working as intended for the team
Clear Process
You always know where things stand
Advisory work that is vague about its own process tends to produce vague outcomes. Marrowdale's engagements are structured with clear milestones, written outputs at each stage, and a defined close. There is no ambiguity about what you are getting or when.
The structure also allows the engagement to adapt. If the work in session two reveals something that changes the priorities for session three, we address that rather than following a plan that has stopped fitting.
Value and Pricing
Fixed scope, fixed price — no surprises
All three Marrowdale services are priced and scoped before the work begins. The Knowledge Snapshot is RM 490 for one session and a written summary. The Organising Advisory is RM 2,080 for four sessions with templates. The Practice Programme is RM 4,460 for eleven sessions with playbooks and reviews.
This structure means you can plan for the cost, discuss it internally, and make a clear decision — without worrying about what the bill will look like at the end of a time-tracked engagement.

How We Compare
What makes Marrowdale different from typical options
Most organisations looking at knowledge management end up choosing between general consulting firms, software vendors, or doing nothing. Here is how those options tend to play out.
| Feature | Typical advisory approach | Marrowdale |
|---|---|---|
| Specialised in knowledge management | Usually not the primary focus | Core specialisation |
| Fixed price before work begins | Often hourly or variable | Fixed scope and price |
| Works with tools the team already uses | Often recommends new platforms | Tool-agnostic by default |
| Written deliverables at each stage | Varies widely | Every engagement |
| Sized for growing or mid-sized teams | Often designed for large enterprise | Engagements scale to team size |
| Builds team capability to continue independently | May create ongoing dependency | Exit-oriented by design |
What Sets Us Apart
The things you will not find everywhere
Malaysian context, not a translated framework
Our advisory is built around how Malaysian organisations actually work — the language mix, the staff tenure patterns, the tools that get used, and the organisational structures that are common here. We do not import a Western knowledge management framework and apply it without adjustment.
A staged entry point for every budget
The Knowledge Snapshot at RM 490 is deliberately designed as a low-risk way to start. It gives you a clear picture of what is actually happening before committing to a larger engagement. Teams that are unsure whether knowledge management is the right focus tend to find this useful.
No product to sell, no platform to recommend
Marrowdale does not have a software product or a preferred vendor relationship. Our recommendations are based solely on what will serve your team's situation — not on commission, referral fees, or preferred partnerships.
Engagements that fit real team capacity
We design the pace of our multi-session engagements around the realistic time available to a team running alongside their day-to-day work. Knowledge work should not require a team to suspend normal operations to participate in an advisory programme.
